This VCI scrim wrap combines 50 lb poly-coated natural kraft with tri-directional scrim reinforcement to deliver active vapor-phase corrosion protection for ferrous metals. The VCI chemistry releases corrosion-inhibiting vapors that form a protective molecular layer on metal surfaces, neutralizing the effects of moisture, oxygen, and airborne contaminants without requiring direct contact.
The poly coating blocks grease, oil, and water penetration, making this material well suited for steel service centers, metal fabrication shops, heavy equipment manufacturers, and industrial distributors. It performs reliably when interleaving stacked sheet metal, wrapping machined components, bundling structural steel, and protecting fabricated assemblies during warehousing or long-haul transit involving sharp edges and irregular profiles.
The tri-directional scrim allows the wrap to conform to oversized or contoured parts without tearing at stress points. Each roll measures 36 inches wide by 200 yards long, weighs approximately 50 lbs, and is sold one roll per case. Ships via parcel carrier.
